Women of the Osa
Woman of Osa is a group of committed volunteers founded purposely through Alvaro Ugalde’s efforts towards the Osa Campaign. These women who live on the southern Pacific coast of the Osa Peninsula and surrounding areas are striving for conservation, education and ecological awareness to preserve one of the most intense reservoirs of biodiversity on Earth.

Puerto Jimenez / South Osa Peninusla

The Puerto Jimenez Public Library
The small town of Puerto Jimenez on the majestic Osa Peninsula proudly announces the opening of their public library. Created by a variety of donations from the community, ranging from money to materials to hard labor, the peninsula’s first library is open for business.

La Escuela Nueva Hoja
La Escuela Nueva Hoja is non-profit private school for children PreKinder to 8th grade. The school was founded in 2005 and our first school year begins January 30, 2006.

Puerto Jimenez Colegio Recycling Center
The Recycling Center of Puerto Jimenez, located at the public high school in town, was built by the Women of the Osa (WOO) in September 2006.

Nature Kids school in Drake Bay
NatureKids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to working with families to develop the tools they need for self-reliant futures, announces the inauguration of the NatureKids English language school and community education center in Drake Bay.

Dominical / Costa Ballena

Punta Dominical S.A
Through its non-profit foundation, Una Mano Amiga (A Friendly Hand), Punta Dominical S.A. supports environmental, conservation, education, and public health projects. A portion of the revenues from the sale of each Punta Dominical property is donated to the Osa Campaign, an international campaign to conserve the Osa region, one of the most bio-diverse places on Earth.
